What is Melalite Forte?
Melalite Forte is a topical cream for bleaching hyperpigmented skin areas due to excessive melanin production. The cream contains 4% of Hydroquinone as active ingredient, which works by blocking the production of melanin making hyperpigmented areas lighten. It is applied in cosmetic treatment of various skin conditions associated with hyperpigmentation and can be used in all age groups. The medication comes in aluminum tubes with screw cap closer containing 30 mg of cream.

When is Melalite Forte indicated?
Melalite Forte is indicated for gradual whitening of hyperpigmented skin conditions, such as patchy hyperpigmentation, residual hyperpigmentation, freckles, lentigines, age spots, chloasma, melasma and other skin discolorations associated with skin trauma, pregnancy, birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy. The cream can also reduce acne scars and help reverse the signs of aging. The medication may cause skin sensitivity; therefore sunscreens should be used daily. Exposure to sunlight can cause repigmentation of the bleached areas.

How to use Melalite Forte?
Melalite Forte should be applied topically on the previously washed and completely dried affected skin areas, and then rubbed in gently until the cream is evenly distributed and absorbed. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. The medication should be applied twice daily, mornings and evenings (at least half an hour before going to bed). First improvements may be seen in 2 weeks. If no improvement is observed after 2 months of therapy, discontinue the use of the product. The cream is known to work better with alpha hydroxy acids to deeply exfoliate skin and lighten the targeted darkened areas more effectively.

When is Melalite Forte contraindicated?
Melalite Forte is contraindicated to people with skin infections incited by viruses, fungi or bacteria. Do not use the medication if you are allergic to any of its ingredients and if you are currently receiving photosensitizing drugs.

What are Melalite Forte side effects?
Melalite Forte may cause minor redness or burning sensation at application site. In rare cases the medication may provoke contact dermatitis and exogenous ochronosis. Stop using the cream and consult your dermatologist if you develop any type of allergic reaction or any kind of skin discomfort.
