What is it prescribed for?
PROPECIA is applied to treat men with hair loss and it helps to increase hair growth on the scalp and to prevent further hair loss.
Contraindications and cautions:
Propecia can be used ONLY by men!!
Do not take PROPECIA if:
• you are allergic to PROPECIA or any of the ingredients.
Allergic reaction can be demonstarted by skin rash or swelling of the lips or face.
Tell your doctor if:
• you have or have had any medical conditions
• you have any allergies to any other medicines or any other substances, such as foods, preservatives or dyes.
If you are not sure if yoiu need to use PROPECIA, talk to your doctor.
Adverse effects:
All medicines may cause adverse effects, but many people have no, or minor, adverse effects.
Tell your doctor if you have any of the following:
• difficulty in achieving an erection
• less desire for sex
• decreased amount of semen released during sex (this decrease does not appear to interfere with normal sexual function).
Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following:
• breast swelling and/or tenderness
• skin rash, itchiness
• hives or nettle rash (pinkish, itchy swellings on the skin)
• testicle pain.
Tell your doctor immediately, if the following happens:
• swelling of the lips or face.
How can other medicines affect? Tell your doctor if you are using any other pharmaceuticals, including those which you buy without a prescription from a pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop.
No drug interactions of clinical importance have been identified.
